CROSS MUGUERZA

Do you know the Cross Muguerza? 🏃🏃🏃

Cross Muguerza is named in honour of the athlete Juan Muguerza Sasieta, born in Elgoibar in 1900. He won several Spanish championships in different athletics disciplines (long-distance, middle-distance, hurdles…), and sadly died young during the Spanish Civil War.

In 1943, a group of enthusiasts inaugurated this excellent competition for the first time, and over the years it has managed to attract the world elite of cross-country running.

At Marcajes Telleria we continue to support this Cross whenever we can, and we would like to express our heartfelt admiration to all the volunteers from Elgoibar who, year after year, dedicate so much time without expecting anything in return.
